Welcome to the YAF Official Fish of the Month Competition thread.
As was announced recently, we shall be running a fish of the month competition this year, for the chance to win a Fish of the Year 2015 trophy!
From the first through to the last day of each month you shall have the opportunity to make entries to be awarded a 'Fish of the month' accolade, where members can enter fish to be judged in a vote that shall last for one week. For example the January Fish of the Month will run from the 1st-31st and then a vote will last for one week from the end of the month. The winner of this vote shall become our fish of the month and will be featured on our website and Facebook pages. Each monthly winner shall be entered in to a vote at the end of 2015 to win the above trophy and the title of 'YAF Fish of the Year 2015'.
The rules are as follows:
- 2 Entries per member per month.
- All species of fish count and can be caught outside the UK. When submitting an entry a small story to go with it may be a good idea.
- Entries MUST have been caught in the current competition month.
- When votes go live, each member shall have ONE vote to cast on the fish they think is best. You cannot vote for your own fish
- Anyone who tries to enter more than 2 fish, is found to have entered a fish caught outside the current month, or has been found to have voted for their own fish will not be allowed to enter
- At the end of each month a Poll thread shall be created to decide which fish you think is the fish of the month and the same will apply at the end of 2015 to decide the fish of the year. The vote will last for one week.
- To be counted, entries must be posted in this thead and this thread only.
Please familiarise yourself with the rules before entering and best of luck,
