Started my carp fishing on here and next door in the late 80's, both were private syndicates in those days, Totley's (Newbridge)lost a lot of fish and Rainbow had a dozen or so mid doubles. Later on both were sold, John got Rainbow, Lance and Michelle Newbridge. I remember when Newbridge was stocked, trying to remember were the fish came from, keep racking my brain and the only things which come to mind are Dave Heslop, Clumber, East Park, Fenners and Ski pond all contributed, some unknowingly I believe or allegedly. I know around 800 went in and they put a lot of weight on in the first couple of years before they seemed to stop growing.
Michelle said they got some Italian carp or something to me
Think the batch they got were from all over, reckon there is Italian in them for sure, lot of ornamentals in them though, wonder were they came from?
Seems a good mixture as the silver ghostie commons are awesome fish, loved getting them, they had a hint of gold, looked brilliant during the day in sunlight.
