just a little write up today chaps think I food poisoned myself last night with a luke warm chicken curry :/

ventured down to the local again last night good old newbridge lake, got there at around half 7 traffic was a joke leaving work and on arrival got chatting a couple of middlesborough people not sure what they are mackams geordies?? realy nice lads ive told them to join the best forum in the area and one of the lucky buggers landed a new newbridge 30 which made me the green eyed monster a bit but hey ho.

moving on I managed to get my rods out for 8 oclockish got everything were I wanted got fully set up put tea on and gas ran out mid way through my chicken curry :/ fuck it its edible whilst watching the water I noticed a few fish boshing out a bit further right then were my rod was so I cast my ever faithful blowback rig with a pva sock over to the spot and went back for a natter.

no sooner did I get there, I forgot my phone so set of back the ten metres or so when half way through the walk I had my delkim absolutely tear of I sprinted to my rods I was in to a very very very angry carp took me in every single lily bed in the swim but after ten or so hairy minutes one of the lads netted a stunning pristine 19ld ghost carp I was absolutely buzzing id not blanked again and here she is...

loving my bait at the minute them ghost carp anyways I stuck my rod back on the spot and went back for a chat for half an hour or so and my stomach started twitching so I steadily set of back and within 5 mins I was spewing everywere and at one point I contemplated calling it a night and going home but I got my shed down just after half nine.

had a fair few big liners during the night but nothing to risk been sick again for, then early this morning after i got a few decent photos of my ghosty my right hand ripped of again and i had another hard fighting fish on the end aswell as a fish on the bank so i had to carefully release fish whilst battling a carp through tough lillies mental eh?

but after long fight a stunning 13 ld common rolled into my net...

not bad i thought and at 7 oclock in the morning it meant id had two fish in less then 12 hours who needs 24 or 48? i was adamant to try get a third but it just didn't seem to happen and after trying to help one of the lads on next peg try and bag his first fish which after 30 mins playing it through lilies to come off i felt gutted for the lad but as i sat just about to bring my rods in my bobbin lifted again and took me straight in to those bloody dense lily beds after a short but spirited battle a 7ld tench fell victim to my bait a new pb for me tench wise i did photo it but i was rushing around and cut half its body of on the video

not a bad overnighter though for only £12 for the drop on session and using less then a quarter of boilies it was more then worth it.

how many more do i need before i beat you jimmy? am i nearly there yet

Best thing ya can do to a slug is when it's sat chilling sliming away with full antenna thing sticking up get ya korda scissors and chop it's eye/feeler thing off funny as fuck

Frisby is a cracking venue. Very big water and if your not on the fish you have no chance. They have removed 3 tonne of bream in the last year and swapped them pound for pound for carp so there hoping the carp will will start getting bigger now most of the bream have cleared off. The guy who runs the place said that the average size of the 3 tonne of bream that they netted was 4lb, that's a lot of fish. Some big warriors in there including a few 40lb, Definately a water with a few surprises yet to come out. Worth the trip down, but it's not an easy water. If you ever go don't worry about the smaller pit unless your piking as they've taken all the carp over 20's out and put them in the main lake. Great venue especially if your having a mare on Cromwell as just 10 mins down the road.
